Scarlet Imprint, 2008. Printed by Atheneum Press.
First edition. Limited to 555 copies, this being number 61. 8vo. iv, 90pp. Hardcover. Black boards with serpent device blind stamped to front board. Fine condition in protective sleeve. Black free end-papers. Illustrated with three colour plates and black and white illustrations throughout the text. Advertisement card loosely laid-in stating that the book was originally available at the Oxford Thelemic Symposium.. This book was later republished in corrected form by Fulgur Press.
The published only released a small number of copies from the first issue due to inaccuracies in the index and bleeding on the colour plate in many of the copies. Thus, the ‘555’ available copies in reality number a much smaller run.
This volume explores the Voudon Gnostic system introduced through Michael Bertiaux and developed by other occult practitioners. Kenneth Grant drew heavily on this occult body in his Typhonian Trilogies, especially in ‘Cults of the Shadow’.
