London: Rider and Company, 1954.
First edition. 8vo. 232pp. Hardcover. Blue cloth boards with black title on spine. Front top-right corner of front board has light bumping, very minor shelf wear to top head and tail of boards. Spotted discolouration to spine, and light foxing to a small number of front and rear pages. Small bookshop sticker on front paste-down end-paper, and pencil ‘1st edition e-‘ to free end-paper. Rear free end-paper has pencil marking ‘The Arrow and the Sword - Hugh Ross Williamson’. Otherwise a very good copy. Price-clipped dust-wrapper in very good condition, featuring a bold tricolour design to front, and protected in plastic covering.
A lovely copy of a most entertaining work in which the author goes on to reflect upon the comparisons of capitalism and Marxism to the Church and the ‘satanic mass’. £150.
