First edition thus (Parts 1 & 2 first published in 1929). Hardcover. 8vo. 960pp. Black and white frontispiece of ‘an idealized self-portrait. Front board has what looks like a small patch of red pencil crayon (Photo can be supplied). Marbled boards show signs of slight shelf-wear. Mild foxing to both front and rear free end-papers. Otherwise contents very good. Very good dust jacket (price-clipped) shows signs of mild toning inside, slight wear at corners and a spot of discolouration on front cover, this now being in a protective plastic wrapper.

 

Aleister Crowley on Aleister Crowley, albeit in the abridged form of Symonds and Grant’s edition. At nearly 1,000 pages an avid Thelemite will find much on which to feast. This autohagiography covers the period of time from Aleister Crowley’s birth through to the Cefalu period.
