Second revised edition. Limited to 500 copies, this being number 224. Hardcover. 4to. 216pp. B&W illustrations throughout. Black boards with title stamped in gilt on front board and spine. Bumping to corners, three marks on boards, top edge of text block slightly soiled. Text block solid and clean throughout. Good condition.

 

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice shop is a little bit of the occult history of the UK. Publishing early Chaos Magic texts, and ultimately a public profile the shop was firebombed in the 1980s. This book contains a collection of the writings and art of Austin Osman Spare and an important essay by Lionell B Snell (One of whose pseudonyms ‘Ramsey Dukes’ would play an important role in chaos magic).
